Wallpaper Removal

Removing wallpaper can be a chore. We get it.

It starts with a house with some old wallpaper that’s got-to-go. Maybe it’s 70’s avocado green, electric stripes from the 80’s, or a fruit border that was never a good idea in the first place! We all know someone who thought they’d tackle removing their old wallpaper as a “DIY Weekend Warrior” armed with their scoring tool, DIF from the local big box store, and YouTube tutorial on their phone nearby (maybe that was you?). For the first hour the project doesn’t seem that bad: the top layer of paper is peeling off sooo nicely, and there is hope in the air! The second hour is when things start to get a bit iffy: the under layer isn’t being so cooperative and has decided it wants to come off in hundreds of small pieces. “It’s okay, we’ve still got this!” you say to yourself. By the third hour your putty knife has begun to gouge out the drywall, tiny sticky pieces of wallpaper are sticking to your shoes, you really need a coffee, and the room looks like a tornado came through . You begin to question your sanity about why you ever started this dreaded project in the first place and you decide to resort to a weekend on the couch watching Netflix and drowning your sorrows in ice cream and pizza.

That’s when you call us.

We can save you from your wallpaper-removing-misery! We use professional methods and products to achieve professional results. While some wallpapers still may come off with reluctance, our experience allows us to adapt our approach real-time so that you end up with a great finished product.

What to expect:

With every wallpaper removal job there is a degree of uncertainty, such as how much pre-existing damage was under the wallpaper, what type of adhesive was used, etc. To allow for these variabilities, we give our clients a range of cost up front for our wallpaper removal projects so that there are no surprise charges during the process.
